View Full Version : Wife forces retirement of my chair !!!

The wife made me get rid of my tried and shaped recliner. Yeah it was ragged and cut in a few places, but you know when something just feels right how you want to just hang on to it ?
She's been going through the house like a hurricane having just redid the master bedroom/bath. Then the living room and the SH** hit the fan. Of course being a well trained husband of 20+ years I knew I would ultimately lose. I also knew in this instance I could achieve concessions. After many long hours of negotiating I was rewarded with the chance to get any Lazy Boy I wanted. Today I made my choice and it arrives Monday. I can't wait to see the look on her face. I know the color matches at least.
Oh here's a picture of it during the trial fitting ;)

Cool! It shouldn't be hard to get out to the fridge and back during a commercial when you've got that thing. ;D

Okay You asked for it. I actually have very few pictures of myself (lens usually doesn't survive). Here's a couple of cuts from a test video.
These also show the lappy accelerator from another thread. Rocket motor burns 1.5 seconds nominal. Rocket speed at end of burn = mach 3.8-4.0.
Laptop before end of burn = countless pieces :)

You guys are something else :)
I pick what I think are un-photochoppable pics and yet you still find a way around it.
What's worse is we actually got in trouble once for something similar. Somebody hooked one of those computers up to a BBS and it had to be completely wiped and reloaded before it could be connected back up to flight hardware. Details will remain classified ;)
Overall though, being a rocket test engineer was a LOT of fun. Not many people can say they blew stuff up for a living :D
