this is my first time ever going into a server room, this thing is so loud, omg, i can't see anyone staying in here for more than couple minutes.

btw, this is the server room in DC at the engineering school of University of Michigan.

hahaha oh yeah. Most common word heard in the server room: "WHAT?"

yeah, it has to happen sooner or later, i feel pretty good losing it to Umich, hehe.

Well, you are one up on me. Never been in a server room. I will have a head start on some people though, as i'm a bit deaf (old age), so i'm used to saying "What!!!";D

Never been in one that big, but I was in a closet with a rack server before. No AC.... how that thing didn't fry confounds me becuase it only took a moment for me to bake ;)

Server rooms are loud I've been in quite a few. But I think the loudest was the old phone company relays. All of that clicking drove me nuts. And dad stayed in that for 8-10 hours + per day for 40 years! Sheesh.!

I think it's so cool you work at Fermi Lab... wish I could have a cool job like that Why? Brooms and mops don't change much from location to location.

Q, don't get in trouble taking photos where you shouldn't. Better talk to the security manager. ;)
