Eurocom will ship its M590K Emperor in late March or early April with an option of an SLI upgrade. The device looks as intimidating as its name, as it comes with a 19" widescreen and a full-size keyboard in an 11-pound package.

Reminds me of my friend's old IBM PS/2 P75.

I mean, they're both essentially briefcases and weigh a ton.

Well I am a big avid gamer and love to have cuttung edge tech. and I travel all over so I could see myself buying one of these in the future :) just wait Dual Graphics and Dual CPU in notebooks.

I guess it is the new way to work out? throw a 15lbs backback on! oh wait I did that X4 in High School! 54lbs of books! give me those same books on CD and Iwould take a 15lbs notebook any day :)

Desktops weigh more, and are harder to tug around with you. ;)

Textbooks will never be on CD, that would make it too easy to copy them and then they wouldn't make their $150 per book cost . Knowledge is power and power is money.

That notebook is massive, and I think mine at 7.5lbs is heavy carrying it around once you get the accessories with it.

On another note, I've gotten some text books on ebook before & didn't like it nearly as well as hard copy :/. There is just something about having it in my hand and being able to mark/high light the crap out of it.

Wasn't someone on the hardware forum looking for a $5000 lappy? I think this is it.
