Hey everyone I'm a newbie to the boards, and need some help.
Back in May I bought a laptop from Dell....when I went to download AIM, it would not work properly. It downloaded fine, but after my buddy list would load, and I would double click on a buddy to send a message the IM window will pop up, then aim freezes, and says there is an error so AIM must shut down....I tried uninstalling, then reinstalling and it never worked. I think installed an old version of AIM on the laptop (I think it was 4.8?)
so the other day I got my dell desktop delivered....went to download aim...same thing happened!!! I would really like to be able to use the newer version of aim, without these hassles, is there a way to fix it? or has anyone else encountered this problem and what was the outcome?
