Smitfraud.C infection

I've contracted Smitfraud.C and I apparently need some help getting rid of it. I attempted to remove it using the guide located here: http://www.short-media.com/forum/showthread.php?t=32218 but was unsuccessful. I followed the link to this forum, and followed the directions of what to do before posting, but the spyware was unaffected. I am not unfamiliar with techniques to remove spyware, but this particular piece seems to be above my abilities and knowledge. Any advice will be greatly appreciated.

I did some looking around on here, and looks like someone else has seen the same version of the rogue software "Spyware Quake". I should probably also note that the Panda & BitDefender detected the spyware and Kaspersky's scan did not. Spybot S&D is (I think) the only software that consistently detects it, but says it can't remove it. I guess I'll just have to wait for you brilliant people to come up with a fix. Thanks in advance.
