Here is the Deal, I am short of Cash to get to SM LAN 2006, I have most of it but was wondering If I could get the help of the SM community to get me all the way there.

So If you help donate $10 to get me to SM LAN 06 I will enter your name in a drawing for a Nvidia 7800GT PCI-E Graphics Card OEM, and the drawing will take place at SM LAN 06 for all to see. To make it even better for you big spenders I will enter your name in the hat for every $10 donated. Below is the map of how far I am away from making it to SM LAN 06, every time someone donates I will add your name to the hat and mark how much furthur I need to go. Once I reach to cost of the ticket "if we get that far" that will end the donations and all entries will be closed :)

I just want to clarify, because I'm not sure I understand completely: The raffle is open to anybody who donates money for a plane ticket, not just LAN attendees, right? The drawing will be held at the LAN, but the winner can be anybody and you will ship the card to them?

It is open to anyone within the SM community. The drawing and the card will come with me to SM LAN 2006 and we will all draw the winner at the LAN. and I will ship it to the winner at no extra cost...

The card is already bought. TBH I think it is a EVGA 7800GT ... I will get some images once it gets to me :) I paid a small sum for it as it was kind of donated for this purpose. Hence why the brand name is unknown....

With last nights massive donations we only need about $100 to get Sledge to SM LAN 06... Short-Media almost has Sledge to the LAN :) it is so close I can taste it....

I mean it has been less than 24 hours since this was posted and we almost have the goal reached... That shows the love of the SM community, or it shows a bunch of guys and Gals really want the Graphics card :)

True, true... but I also want to point out that the map looks much better being almost in Detroit :) lets see if we can get there today so I can secure the plane tickets :)

Also to let all know I have contacted 2 travel agents and 9 airlines for prices and I think I boiled it down to the cheapest fastest way there. Although the flight has a few stop overs it will be worth it :) $108 more bucks and the flight is mine :)

Because "possible" is a little vague. And that kind of confuses me, because there seems to be 41 tickets according to the first post, but there were originally 33, but then if you added 5, where did the other 3 come from? I don't see any posts about them. BTW - remember that we don't get thread update notifications when you edit a post, and when we do get notifications, the link sends us to the last page.

the cost of the tickets went up from the day I check from the time I bought the tickets. "I think over the 3 days." If you feel like something was done unfair I have no problem refunding your donated amount.. I am not hear to pull wool over your eyes, or cheat you in anyway. I set out to get to SM LAN and I had a 7800GT donated for the cause and held this raffle that will take place at the LAN. Thanks to everyone and I mean THANKS!!! we were able to meet the cost of the ticket to get me to Michigan, I was able to sell enough stuff out of "Sledgehammers garage sale (http://www.short-media.com/forum/showthread.php?t=44328)" to pay the other half.
