I am trying to clear the Spy Falcon malware off of my comp. I am unable to d/l the Panda online scan because I use Firefox ... (I deleted IE). I tried using Trend Micro online scan, but for some reason it keeps locking up (won't stop cycling in "idle"). Is there another online scan that is recommended?

Thx!

Which version of Firefox do you have?

Depending on which version of Firefox you use, right-click the relevant link and save it to your desktop (Note that the Windows Media Player plugin must be installed and working for this to work):
Firefox 1.0, 1.0.1, or 1.0.2: http://www.iol.ie/~locka/mozilla/mozactivex-ff-10.xpi

Firefox 1.0.3: http://www.iol.ie/~locka/mozilla/mozactivex-ff-103-2.xpi

Firefox 1.0.4, or 1.0.5: http://www.iol.ie/~locka/mozilla/mozactivex-ff-104.xpi

Firefox 1.0.6: http://www.iol.ie/~locka/mozilla/mozactivex-ff-106.xpi

Firefox 1.0.7: http://www.iol.ie/~locka/mozilla/mozactivex-ff-107.xpi

Firefox 1.5, 1.5.0.1, 1.5.0.2, or 1.5.0.3: http://www.iol.ie/~locka/mozilla/mozactivex-ff-15.xpi *The Firefox 1.5 plugin is a test version - it is not known to be problem-free yet.

Open Firefox, then drag the .xpi file you just downloaded into the Firefox window.
The plugin will appear in the Extensions window while installing, but not once installation is complete. This is normal - even though it installs the same way, this is not an extension and so will not be listed in the Extensions window..

When the installation is complete, restart Firefox. Try the Panda ActiveScan scan again.

Geeze  I installed it about 2 years ago, I don't even know which version it is! Unlike most programs, it doesn't show when you click the "help" tab. I will try to figure it out ... :wow2:
