I hate steam..... :banghead:
Steam just updated or something, and now whenever I try to connect to a cs server, it says Establishing Connection to server..., then it just freezes. I tried to connect to halflife servers, and it works fine, and so do all the other games, just cs won't connect...

Any ideas??

that usually does it for me when steam is messed up.

Delete the file named ClientRegistry.blob located in the steam folder.

This will fix 99% of all steam problems you will ever encounter.

Yeah I know about that, but the last time I did it, I didn't backup the file, and Steam just wouldn't update so I had to format my drive. I'll back it up and try it again though.

Still nothing. I also tried deleting local contact, and dloading cs again...

You can just run a integrity check rather then deleting it and redownloading it.
