My China Adventure - Complete with Pictures

here i will be nonperiodicly update my summer in china with pictures and maybe even words, hehehe

Here is the first update:

I arrived in china on may 9th tuesday, and i was so tired that day, when i arrived at my apartment, i just ordered some dinner and had it delivered, and did not go out for the rest of the night.

The following morning, i woke up around 7 and had breakfast in the apartment, i thought to myself, i better go outside and walk around or something.

so i went outside and took a taxi to wang fu jing(a shopping street/area)

w00t, i arrived in wang fu jing safely, the taxi cost me 20 rmb(about 2.5 usd), it doesn't look so crowded right now, i believe it gets much worse on some days.

after walking around wang fu jing for a bit, i didn't find anything exciting to do, but i did see some model standing there while some photographer was taking some picture, there were a crowd around her, and i was too shy to take a picture, heheh.

So i decided to walk to the forbidden city. i forgot how long it took me to walk from wang fu jing to the forbidden city

after the time at the square, i walked back to wang fu jing, walked around for a little more and since it's lunch time, i decided to grab lunch here before i head back to my apartment.

I got some korean food at a food court at some mall, the lunch costed me about 20 rmb(again 2.5usd), that was food and drink, w00t for exchange rate.

i'm tired now, so it's time to head back to the apartment. I can't be taking taxi everyday, so i decided to go and find me the subway. The ticket was 3 rmb(about 40 cents),

here comes my train, YEAH!!! I'm so proud of myself, first time taking the subway in beijing, and i didn't get lost, and made it to the apartment safe.

had these korean food for lunch, one bbq beef, and a tofu soup, decent stuff, cost me 48rmb(about 6 usd)

Awesome... Beijing is a great place. But I should mention it's not as clean as it looks, when I was there I really understood why Chinese Americans tend to leave their shoes at the door. Actually I'm surprised you've got so much blue sky!

yeah i got more pictures, but been lazy and tired lately, so i have not uploaded all the pictures yet.

Working 9 to 5 every monday to friday. I gotta get up around 6:30 to get ready to go and wait for the company shuttle bus, the traveling to work everyday is getting very tiring, BTW i'm doing intern in GE Healthcare in beijing. I will try to upload more pictures on friday night beijing time, so it's friday morning EST.
