Wow lemon's bitmap put the size up 200 kb from 80 ---> 280....

Ok here's the Flash file if anyone wants to add some cool actionscripts. I had to change the .rar to .zip to upload it so if it doesn't werk, just change the extension to .rar. I couldn't use .zip to compress because it won't split the volume if I use .zip. The next post has the other two parts.

I traced the bitmaps and it cut the size about 90 Kb. I think the lagg is only on this thread because I've posted so many times and there are so many anims playing at the same time. I don't think it should lagg anything else though.

I can't see why it's slow loading for you, because I'm downloading 3 HL2 Mods and surfing the web with wireless, and it's almost instant for me (I have 3 mbps) . Is everybod y else seeing the updated names? Someone wanna add some Actionscript?? :bawling:

It doesnt seem to be giving me any problems.?? Although I have so many programs and testing servers running on my computer i probably wouldnt notice a little flash movie. One thing that kills my computer is VB 2005

Works perfectly fine on two of my computers, my work comp, and my laptop which is bogged down by encoding a DVD right now, page still loads fine and the flash plays fine as well.

IE on work comp.... Firefox on Laptop... just tried it with IE and it loaded instantly, took maybe less than 1.5 seconds to load the page after clicking on the link here, and I know the file wasn't cached since I haven't used IE since I last updated windows. :tongue2:

It lags the page a bit. When scrolling down, it pauses for a split second when it reaches the animation.

EDIT: Actually it doesn't scroll the page to the side, but it just looks a bit long. Try to shorten it a little bit.

It's cool looking, but it is a bit large. It also takes up 80% of my processor time when I look at it. Have you considered taking the same concept and shrinking it down a bit?

The font you use for SCAR makes it look a little like "SCAP." ;)

It lags on my home and school computer. both have high speed internet on them. doesnt matter what else i am doing it hangs when im trying to scroll down...in any thread where scar posted.

Actually the reason for the lag may be the server that's hosting it. It's one of those free servers that's also hosting my website so... If anyone wants to host it....

BTW, I coded the movie so it wouldn't play and lag everything, one of these days I'll make it smaller or wait till SM gets even better servers ;D

I don't think it's servers or bandwidth. I think it's the resources necessary to run one instance, let alone 5+, are just too demanding. If the animation isn't optimized, then it's going to take down even speedy computers by today's standards.

I think I phrased it wrong. Sorry. My rig didn't slow down. The animation did. I dunno. It just seemed a bit resource heavy to me on the three or four computers I've used to view it.
