uh oh... uh oh... it's the attack of the blue nondescript background! Aaaaaah! Am I the only one here who runs XP with all the visual fluff OFF and no background because it's faster that way? And no, this isn't on some POS 3 year old computer either- it's on the comps in my sig. XP runs noticeably faster with all the fluff off, even on a 2GHz+ AMD/P4 system.
Downsized from 1600x1200 (stoopid r128 won't do higher above 60Hz, and it's bugging me. Everything's too damn BIG @ 1600x1200... I want 2048x1536 back! :bawling: :D ) Essential system info (CPU, chipset temps) in systray via mbm5... this is my standard setup for all my computers.

When I feel with messing with it again, I'll open Powerstrip and put my 1400x1120@100hz resolution back in. My monitor shouldn't support that kind of refresh rate at that resolution, but it works :D (Dell 19" Trinitron).

This is a somewhat-recent shot of my desktop. I didn't feel like resizing it. I tend to prefer having all the stuff I'm not needing to use ALL THE TIME be on my Start menu. That's what it's for. The wallpaper can be had at http://www.animejello.net , and it's only in 1024x768 so don't get any ideas...

Hi all !
For a couple of years, I hosted a wallpaper site on my server. Some truly outstanding free art by Wilby (done mostly in Bryce. Please see his new site if you want something that just makes you go "WOW"

Very nice art Tacoguy, I'm going to look at it some more later. At the moment I am on a very tight schedule, have to pack up my computer and be somewhere at about nine. From the looks of it, it looks pretty good so far.
:)
Happy Thanksgiving,
Josh

59C for the CPU is a bit toasty, but 56C for an HD . . . I've never seen that before. Ouch!
Yeah... with that kind of HDD temp, he's asking for the contents of his "stuff" folders (wonder what might be in those folders? ;) :D) to go bye-bye

Maxtor 80GB ontop of another 80GB. Case is open. Maybe MBM is reporting the temp wrong.

I know it has something to do with the printscreen key, but I have tried holding ctrl and alt to no results.
Hit the PriSc (print screen) key. Then open Clipboard (it's one of those little Windows "applets", it might be called Clipboard Viewer on your machine, depending on your flavor of Windows). This will let you see it to make sure it worked. Then you can use a program like IrfanView (http://www.irfanview.com/) to view it. Just save it as a .jpg.
Even easier is a program like GrabClipSave (http://www.boumchalak.net/Tools/GCS/Download/download.html) - it does it all in one shot.
