Undeletable virgin.net icon

Hi there

I have recently bought a new system and it came pre-installed with virgin.net internet sign-up software. I use a different provider and tried to delete this software, which was a success apart from leaving an icon on the desktop. I have tried everything i know to get rid of it.. if you right click it has no properties and nothing is associated with it. its not possible to drag it into the recycle bin. i can move it around the desktop, but not off!

Any ideas?

virgin.net does not seem to be malware. As such, I believe this post is not suited to be in the "Spyware/Virus/Trojan Help" section.

Anyway, I do think you should contact its customer support:

It seems that their uninstaller may be flawed.
