i have this problem, my blind grandma went out and got a pink razor (shes no 100% blind, she sees shadows. shes had cell phones befor, but cant use the razor because the keys are flat and she cant feel them.... ............. the only thing i could think of at the time is to see if the phone has voice dial or to tell her to buy the speech dial or whatever........... but then i thought about maybe getting stick- on keys or something that pops out a little on the middle key or something (like a keyboard). but then i realized the razor might not shut, soo i dont know what to do :confused2 or how to help her. any suggestions ?

My grandfather is blind and we have put little dots on the keys. I think we used superglue. just a drop. After that, he was able to somewhat use a phone. Set up the "one button" dialing...
Someone in my family had that problem a while ago. They just put a little bit of soldering tin on the middle key and solified it, and thats it... I like the superglue idea better though. I guess the glue could come of though...

I'd assume that super glue would last if you used alcohol to clean the key first and made the blob really small.

Why not just get her a phone with 'real' buttons?

what does a blind person need a fancy phone for, i would think that they would want a phone that was easier to use rather one that looked good.

The razr is not just a sweet looking phone but it also a light and thin phone. That may be the real benifit.
The razr does have voice dialing, and it's one of the best versions I've ever come across. I'm not sure which button it is to use the short cut, but you press the button and it says say a name. You say call john or call 555-5555.
