Before reading this review I was at fry's contemplating buying one of these... but it only has 3 buttons, and one thing I like about logitechs mice are how many nice buttons they have for use and I do use them.

I just won't ever be buying a wireless rechargable logitech mouse for about..... as long as I live. If it ain't gonna live past 6 months, I ain't gonna spend $60+ on it.

I have two wireless Logitech mice that are 2+ years old each, both of them on the same old set of NiMH duracell rechargeables. :)

Had 2 Mx700's, not so much of the battery going dead, but they won't recharge in the craddle, had to lick the pads to make contact... I believe you and prime do the same. Plus I have a Logitech Mx Duo keyboard and mouse and the same problem occur's, and yesterday the craddle died all together.

Does the Copperhead have the on the fly sensitivity changer like the Diamondback? If it does you missed a really nice feature from your review.

You can indeed program two of the buttons to be sensitivity changers, but this takes away two of the buttons from another use, and the other two being positioned as oddly as they are, they are almost useless anyway.

I prefer Logitech's system of having dedicated sensitivity switching with the two buttons underneath the scroll wheel.

I think maybe your google is broken :P

APM is a pretty common measure for RTS players.

That being said, I don't think quality mouse is going to be slow enough to the point where it will limit a player's clicking speed. The most you're probably going to see for APM from a player is maybe 300-400, and that includes keyboard shortcuts, etc. Anyways, it's not made up by Razer, but they're definitely using it to try and market to that segment. RTS and MMORPG are huge in Korea, so I guess they felt like (re)releasing a small chasis mouse with some RTS-related buzzwords would be a good idea.

The highest APM WC3/SC players are generally frenzied keyboard shortcutters.. So while the APM is neat to throw on a package, it's only marginally applicable. It's just marketing BS <i>given the device in question</i>. Now, I could see Logitech packaging their G15 keyboard as a device that dramatically modifies APM.

I still firmly hold that there's no way a mouse is going to improve my "APM". The ultimate point I was trying to make is that this is a good mouse which is sort of 'cheapened' by their whack marketing. They should market it differently instead of making it sound like it's going to dramatically improve your game.

Yeah, because the connection is only a 'sit on' affair and at a very low voltage it does need to be cleaned now and then. That's just a bit of maintenance though, like getting the fluff out of your case, only much easier. I have a little glass fibre brush that cleans mine, takes 10 seconds once a month. Small price to pay.
My MX 1000 is also over 1 year old and still works like a dream.
