yup, today was my last day of school(finally). My final gpa should be around a 3.8. Pretty good considering i took trig physics and a few other enriched classes. Although, last year I had above a 4.0, I kinda miss it.
You know what sucks though, I still have home work!! I have homework to do over the summer for AP Computer Science. We will be learning Java all year long, and it doesnt look that hard, looks really similar to C++. Cant wait to get into it. I'm also doing concurent enrollment at a local college next year, the good thing about it is that they do dual credits, so the english not only satisfies my senior english requirement, but also covers my first year college english at college. Hopefully I'll make my way through it. Everyone tells me that college isnt that hard and I shouldnt be woried about it. One thing that I will like abou concurent enrollment is that I'm taking 3 credit hours per semester, so they have to let me out of school for 3 hours every day. So that means I will be able and go out for lunch regardless of the closed campus.:celebrate and on tuesday and thursday, if it is an odd day, i will have 3 hours for lunch or to do homework. Then on every even day I am out the last hour and a half. That way I can do homework and work on the yearbook/chill in a teachers room.:D (My school is awesome. teachers are pretty cool)
if you have no idea what im talking about as far as even and odd go, we are on an even/odd block schedule. we have eight blocks, and we do four blocks a day. We do even numbered blocks on even days and odd numbered blocks on odd days. The days alternate, so if mon, wed, fri, were odd, then tue and thurs would be even, and then since friday was odd, we start next week as an even day. That way we have 2 days to do our homework, and we have longer class periods.
Sorry that im explaining it like you all are idiots, just from talking to various people, it doesnt seem that it is used all to commonly, a lot of people tell me they are on a 4 by 4 block schedule, where they do 4 blocks one semester and 4 blocks another semester, almost the same thing, just not as much time to do homework. And the college class is so awesome, its mon, wed, and fri from 10:00 - 10:55, i cant wait till college.
