For a rainbow stats shock. Jason over at EOF, who runs the famous and most loved rainbow stats will be moving and the way it stands now, the stats server will be offline until he's moved and has had a chance to get broadband access to his new house.:bawling: Here is the thread (http://forums.extremeoverclocking.com/showthread.php?s=&threadid=66227) where he states this. I sincerely hope that he can find some way to temporarily get them hosted by someone else during the move as I have fallen in love with his stats pages and is my most popular stats site to use.

I'm just glad that Statsman has finally gotten his site's problems resolved so we won't be nearly as bad off as the last time Jason's stats went offline while away on business.

:fold:FOLD ON!!!:fold:

Oh that is bad news. Especially since he's having the sell off his folding farm.

I know I brought this up before, but we really need to look into setting up our own stats site if it's feasable.

Preferably one like Jasons since we depend so heavily on it.

Agreed BDR, but alas I have not the skillz to put together such a stats database.:( It wouldn't necessarily need to cover more than our team though since we can always use statsman's site to check our progress on competing teams. I love the way Jason's stats are color coded and give you your threats/conquests lists when your username is clicked on.

I agree, just our team.

A couple of people were going to check into it when Jason's site went down last time. Maybe they'll volunteer again?

Man EOC stats are awesome. Best I have seen yet. Basically the only one I look at anymore.

Hope he is able to take the offer. Someone with those skills should be able to find a job.

I usually look at Stanford's stats first, as they are the freshest. For anything definitive - statistics, the comparison of data that is, EOC is the best game in town.

what's the bandwidth requirements? what's the machine requirements?

mmonnin

Lots and fast. It takes over 20min to update that site.

bandwidth isn't a problem - does the machine need lots of ram or hdd space or just raw AMD mhz?

Ask Jason, not really sure. More the better I am sure.

Well, he posted this (http://forums.extremeoverclocking.com/showthread.php?postid=641518#post641518) at EOC. Sounds like he's working on a solution.

I still think we need our own.:sad2:

Well I just got done talking with Jason. He says he's found a solution to keep them up. Also, a brief snippet of our conversation:

Jason:Just wait till you see the next revision of the stats

Brian: I can't wait

Jason: they are gonna blow everyone's doors off

Brian: we use your stats like crazy. It's definitely one of the best ones out there

Jason: but they probably won't be done till around christmas, I just don't have the time right now.

So, not only are they secure, but it sounds like they are going to be improved as well.

I cant wait. Didnt think they could get better.

There is certainly a way (A few ways...) to make them better:

Allow us to project stats farther into the future, and allow us to compare ourselves with people not immediately on our upcoming conquests list.
