When i turn on my computer and get to the part where i need to enter my password, the color is screwed up. Everything seems to bit a bit bluer?
My start menu button is orange instead of green.
:birthday: Happy birthday shows in Yellow, black, and blue.
I went to my monitor buttons and everything seems to be ok, i put it to default settings and everything is still funny colored.
Any ideas?

i reloaded it and looked for updates with no luck.
Could the Monitor have lived its days? its a 5 year old CRT screen
It is either an practical joke or a virus of some kind.
After reading about "green chair", I'm ready to believe in anything
Have you scanned your computer ?

Sounds like one of the colour channels on your monitor is screwed. From what you've said I think your monitor isn't recievieng the red colour information. The most likely culpit for this (in my experience) is the cable. Check the plug on your video card cable, are any pins bent or damaged? If so, that's your culprit.

Yeah, if the cable starts falling out you'll normally get some quite trippy effects. Try hitting the monitor too, normally works.

i removed the cord, waited a bit, blew on it, put it back in and...
it worked!
Everything is fine now, thanks :p
Isn't this usually a sign that the monitor is going bad? I may be wrong.

It can be, but the vast majority of the time it's the cable falling out of the socket slightly, or a pin on the cable being bent. The VGA cable carries each colour on seperate pins so if one of the pins isn't making contact it's missing from the display.
