Sysprep and renaming.

can i use sys prep and an answer file to strip all ID's from a machine, then rejoin the domain with with a unique name without reinstalling windows?

Yes.... Use "setupmgr" to help create the answer file. That will ask for all the info that you need to create the answer file.

Then... assuming that the sysprep folder in at the root of the C:/ drive, when you are sure that everything is ready to be "syspreped", run this command from the "Run" line...

c:/sysprep/sysprep.exe –mini –reseal -quiet

That will do it... resets all the SSID and UID for the system... :thumbsup
