windows mobile 2003 upgrade?

would it be possible to upgrade an hp ipaq 6515 from windows mobile 2003 2nd ed. to windows mobile 5.0? assuming you could locate a copy of it...

i have tried google, but almost everything says no b/c manufacturers don't support upgrading OS's on mobile devices. anybody tried anything similar on their pocket pc or smartphone?

specs:

312mhz intel pxa272
128mb ram /55mb rom

My gut reaction is that it sounds possible. I had an old iPaq that had Windows Mobile 2002 on it, that was upgradeable to 2003. I didn't perform the upgrade, but reviews of the device said it was possible. I'm supposing you could still do such a thing on the newer devices.

Only if the company that makes the PDA has made an upgrade. If not then no. Simple as that.
