alright, if ihave one copy of windows xp home edition, and two computers. can i install that copy of windows xp on both computers without any trouble and will be able to update them etc. (like system packs, security updates etc)

As soon as you go to install it on the second computer it's going to run the CD Key Check, see that your number is already in use, then tell you to go screw.

Sorry, man, you need a license for each machine. :(

I thought, that in the EULA, it states that you are licensed to run it on 2 permanent machines(desktop), and one portable (laptop), maybe I am wrong, but when I read it, I am pretty sure that is what it said.

Actually. because it's a 'Licence' now you can install it on as many machines as you like as long as you only use one at a time, heh.

I used to think that, but was told that it is MS Office and you get one desktop + one laptop, but not both at the same time.

thats stupid, considering how much xp sitll cost. silly microsoft. linux for the other machine it is i guess.
