What I've done so far
- Ran Adaware (safe mode)
- Spybot
- Register cleaner
- online virus cleaner
- manually went through and found and deleted some of the files

Now every couple of days ZLOB is picked up on AVG's scan, so it not deleted all the way. I'm also always getting this pop up window which is only the top part and I think it said "system integrity scan wizard" So a pop up that isn't all the way there. This is my work computer, and I'm usually pretty good and keeping up on the viruses, but I think my Home PC infected this one when I was screwing around.

Please download VundoFix.exe (http://www.atribune.org/ccount/click.php?id=4) to your desktop.
Double-click VundoFix.exe to run it.
Put a check next to Run VundoFix as a task.
You will receive a message saying vundofix will close and re-open in a minute or less. Click OK
When VundoFix re-opens, click the Scan for Vundo button.
Once it's done scanning, click the Remove Vundo button.
You will receive a prompt asking if you want to remove the files, click YES
Once you click yes, your desktop will go blank as it starts removing Vundo.
When completed, it will prompt that it will shutdown your computer, click OK.
Turn your computer back on.
Please post the contents of C:\vundofix.txt and a new HiJackThis log.

:confused: Ran Vundofix.exe. Wasn't found, nothing to remove. I can post another HJT log, but it the same. I tried searching on Spy Hunter's Database of Malicous files, but it wasn't exactly clear on deleting the file or not. Thanks for your help though, any other suggestions will be greatly appreciated.

Ok. Please go to Control Panel > Add/Remove Programs and remove the following if found:
MediaTickets

Follow all the prompts. Now start HijackThis and place a tick by the following entries if they still exist:

Now please download SmitfraudFix (http://siri.urz.free.fr/Fix/SmitfraudFix.zip) (by S!Ri)
Extract the content (a folder named SmitfraudFix) to your Desktop.

Open the SmitfraudFix folder and double-click smitfraudfix.cmd
Select option #1 - Search by typing 1 and press "Enter"; a text file will appear, which lists infected files (if present).
Please copy/paste the content of that report into your next reply, along with a new HijackThis log.

Note : process.exe is detected by some antivirus programs (AntiVir, Dr.Web, Kaspersky) as a "RiskTool"; it is not a virus, but a program used to stop system processes. Antivirus programs cannot distinguish between "good" and "malicious" use of such programs, therefore they may alert the user.

So every now and then, I'm getting these stupid do you like me. com pop ups, I went to my task manager and it is always a IEXPLORER.EXE process, sometimes its a separate process from my browser IEXPLORER.EXE, and sometimes its not. It's getting rather annoying though, and I work on a network with a lot of other people and I'm afraid I might start spreading this annoyance to others. PLEASE HELP:aol:

Please download, install, and update Ewido anti-spyware (http://www.ewido.net/en/download/)


Load Ewido and then click the Update tab at the top. Under Manual Update click Start update.

After the update finishes (the status bar at the bottom will display "Update successful")

Close ewido. Do not run it yet.


Please reboot your computer into Safe Mode. To boot into Safe Mode, please restart your computer. Tap F8 before Windows loads. Select Safe Mode on the screen that appears.


In Safe Mode, load Ewido and click on the Scanner tab at the top and then click on Complete System Scan. This scan can take quite a while to run, so be prepared.

Ewido will list any infections found on the left hand side. When the scan has finished, it will automatically set the recommended action. Click the Apply all actions button. Ewido will display "All actions have been applied" on the right hand side.

Click on "Save Report", then "Save Report As". This will create a text file. Make sure you know where to find this file again (like on the Desktop).

Restart back into Normal Mode.


Please perform another scan with Hijack This, and then post back with a copy of the Ewido log and the new HijackThis log.

Maybe the malware is refusing to remove. Let's try it in Safe Mode.

To get into the XP Safe mode, as the computer is booting press and hold your "F8 Key" which should bring up the "Windows Advanced Options Menu" as shown below. Use your arrow keys to move to "Safe Mode" and press your Enter key.

Once in safe mode, please launch HijackThis and fix the following entries:

Go to Control Panel then Add/Remove Programs and look for the entry "OIN" or "(program) by OIN"
Proceed to uninstall it.

Run this installer.

Please go to http://virusscan.jotti.org , click on Browse, and upload the following file for analysis:

Hmmmm....in that case go HERE (http://www.pandasoftware.com/products/activescan.htm).
Once you are on the Panda site click the Scan your PC button
A new window will open...click the Check Now button
Enter your Country
Enter your State/Province
Enter your e-mail address and click send
Select either Home User or Company
Click the big Scan Now button
If it wants to install an ActiveX component allow it
It will start downloading the files it requires for the scan (Note: It may take a couple of minutes)
When download is complete, click on My Computer to start the scan
When the scan completes, if anything malicious is detected, click the See Report button, then Save Report and save it to a convenient location. Post the contents of the ActiveScan report.

Cookies are not much of a problem...and also many of the entries like this: "Potentially unwanted tool:Application/Processor" are from Smitfraudfix. Please delete Smitfraudfix and VirtumundoBeGone from your computer.

Please download VundoFix.exe (http://www.atribune.org/ccount/click.php?id=4) to your desktop.
Double-click VundoFix.exe to run it.
Put a check next to Run VundoFix as a task.
You will receive a message saying vundofix will close and re-open in a minute or less. Click OK
When VundoFix re-opens, click the Scan for Vundo button.
Once it's done scanning, click the Remove Vundo button.
You will receive a prompt asking if you want to remove the files, click YES
Once you click yes, your desktop will go blank as it starts removing Vundo.
When completed, it will prompt that it will shutdown your computer, click OK.
Turn your computer back on.
Please post the contents of C:\vundofix.txt and a new Panda ActiveScan log.
