Try following the advice found here. (http://www.short-media.com/forum/showpost.php?p=33867&postcount=5) Run the takeown program from whichever location the files to which you want to gain access are located.

and what i dont get is that when i go into the back up folder, then to the owener folder, it says access is denied, and im logged on as the admin...

OK. I don't know how much knowledge of computers you have, but when I was in that situation, the only thing I could do was take out the offending hard drive, put it in a hard drive caddy (Maplin, (or Tandy, depending where you live will have them.)) These usually connect to a USB of FIREWIRE port. If you have a friend with another PC, just plug in the drive in to their PC and download the stuff you want onto a cd/dvd. This is the only way of recovering data after Windows crashes out (Which is VERY often!) If you want more detailed instructios, please e-mail me @ yogi_bear_2k2@hotmail.com, and I will help your further.

Don't run it from Start>>Run, but rather open a Command Prompt and do it from there. :)
