Okay, My granddad and I are working on a little video yearbook-ish type of project, and he is looking for a breakout box for himself, I have never personally needed one, but we are going to be using it for my computer.
He want an external VC device, so I narrowed it down to these two to use, one is usb, and one is FireWire, I personally told him to get the firewire one, but that the choice was up to him.
The first on is a Plextor PC-M402U (http://www.newegg.com/Product/Product.asp?Item=N82E16814144502), it is USB, and looks pretty decent. It is $140 with a $50 MIR.
The second on is a ADS Tech Pyro API-555 (http://www.newegg.com/Product/Product.asp?Item=N82E16814255006). It is firewire, has more connection, and looks like a better product.
Will both of these work for Adobe Premier? That is my main concern, as it is what we are going to be using to edit the video.:vimp:
