Buying new T-shirts (probably customs ones online).

But I want to know, what type of shirts last the longest (fade resistent) and are the best for quality?

Is there any type of terminology I want to look for? A certain brand? Any type of new shirt technology........?

Also any online custom t-shirt places you guys could suggest?

Gildan shirts are good. I have quite a few. They take screen printing well. Haynes Beefy Ts are good too. I find that both the Haynes and Gildan shirts are a bit heavy for my liking.

I prefer American Apparel shirts, when I can get them. While I disprove of Dov Charney's odd behavior, I can't resist the feel of their shirts. They're the most comfortable ones I've found yet. They also print up well.

I prefer American Apparel over Gildan and Beefy T's. I haven't had any bad experiences with Gildan, but I've had a Beefy T disintigrate after one wash.

No prob man. I like to buy stuff from individual artists, web comic people and small companies instead of shopping at the mall, so you pick up on what shirts are good for printing and longevity after a while.

Good luck with whatever you're doing.

I researched and bought a whole bunch of Joinfolding (http://short-media.com/forum/showthread.php?t=46249)t-shirts...
:headbange
~~ Details ~~
Gildan 100% Ultra Cotton

6.1 ounce heavyweight tshirt
Double-needle stitched neckline sleeve and bottom hem
Quarter turned
Seamless collar
Taped neck and shoulders
Pre-Shrunk and run a bit big

If you want just a blank t-shirt and then have them silkscreened locally.... http://www.blankshirts.com/ . Well.. It says retailers only, but they sold me 10 t-shirts for a SM-LAN'06 prank without any questions.

I prefer BDG t-shirts. I have a couple of American Apparel t-shirts (Despite a bucknutty CEO), but the thing I dislike about them is the rather random fit. Both are smalls, one fits more like a medium. I always stick with Hanes undershirts. I am not quite certain what shirts are best for screen printing or things like that.

In general to be good for silkscreening... 100% cotton that is at least 5 oz weight.
