I'm currently the proud owner of a Sony KDF-50WE655 (http://www.pricegrabber.com/search_getprod.php?masterid=3762096&search=KDF-50WE655) 720p HDTV. I've been thinking how much I'd like a TV with 1080p and DVI, and I stumbled upon this Samsung 1080p TV (http://www.pricegrabber.com/search_getprod.php?masterid=10553282&search=HL-R5678W) for the low low price of maybe $600 to me if I hock my current TV
what do you guys think? am I completely ridiculous for feeling an extremely strong need to upgrade from 720p to 1080p? Honestly, I the downsampling of 1080i signals to 720p sets has really been starting to bother me, which is another reason I'd been thinking about upgrading
