ati vs nvidia?

ineed some help in my pc i have a 850pro ati

but in my second i dont know which of my two cards to use ati 7200 or invida 5500 please help its a p4 throwaway nothin special but need to know which card to run

If your asking if a Nvidia Geforce 5500 is faster then an Ati radeon 7200 then the answer is yes. The radeon 7200 was a value Direct X 7 card well the Geforce 5500 is a value direct X 9 card.

Yep, Grayfox is right about the vid cards. The Radeon 7200 tech is at least from the Geforce 2 era. The 5500 would be a much better gaming choice of the 2.

yea back then i remmeber nvidia KICKED atis bum all over the place...ati was never number 1 until 9700pro came out which WHOLLOPPED nvidia

the Geforce 5500 is better..however just a warning the Geforce 5xxx series were basicly hair dryers (at least in DX 9) all they did was heat up and make noise :X, but the performance of a ATI 7200 vs a Nvidia Geforce 5500 def the 5500 any day

I actually have a few quite and cool 5500FX cards... but yes the 7200 is much slower.... stick with the 5500 :) or if you want spend $50 on a 6600TD
