hi, my friend is building up his own pc from scratch, and asked me to ask for advice on this processor:

is it a good one for him to buy, or are there better ones out there?
he will be using the pc for general stuff, like surfing the web, and occasionally using
photoshop etc, and please bear in mind we live in the uk.

if you need any other info, just ask, and any help will be greatly appreciated :D

Deano, assuming your friend is literate and has at least a modicum of social skills, he should post here and ask the questions himself. Information always gets lost when there is a middleman relaying questions and answers. It's kind of you to help your friend, but this is a bit strange.
