I used the recovery disc in my computer, didn't get far before my plug disconnected in the middle of recovery and when i restarted it says ntldr missing press ctl alt del to restart. If i try to boot from a windows cd and repair it goes to a black screen with c:/. Ive tried multiple times to use the recovery and windows discs and i'm basically stuck. Any ideas on how to remove all the old windows data so that i can reinstall it from the cd?

Download DBAN's (http://dban.sourceforge.net/) CD/DVD ISO (http://prdownloads.sourceforge.net/dban/dban-1.0.7_i386.iso?download) and give it a run. It'll wipe your HDD clean in a jiff.
