new proccesor broke?

i have been reading the forums for 2 days now trying to sort out my comp. i just recently brought a new proccesor and motherboard and everytime i turn the comp on i get "c:\winodws\system32\config\system corrupt or missing"
i have tryed every method on i have read ove rlast 2 days and musta renistalled windows xp over 15 times now. when i use my old priccesor and mothe rboard i get same problem but i am able to fix them. does any oen have any ideas on what i can do

How are you formatting the disk when you reinstall windows? Quick or full?

i am honestly not sure not very good with comps. i use teh disk i got with my comp and it warns me it will format when i reinstall windows it takes about 15 mins to complete the process

Okay, so do you have a Dell, HP, Compaq, Gateway or other such machine?

i foundon the manufactuares disk a comand input from disk menus kinda like dos but the comands i have found on teh wbe and these froums do not seem to work at best i get this file is not found or 0 copts found and unable to copy
