My good friend Sam finally ditched his wife's aoHell dialup crap and got Cox cable today. I went over there tonight and installed a Dlink DI 604 router and dropped a ethernet card in his daughter's machine. While I was there, I installed the graphical F@H on his wife's machine, which is a KK266R with a pally 1800 in it. I have to go back tomorrow and run an ethernet cable to his daughter's machine, which is a Duron@850, will probably borg it too.:D

Now I have to read up an installing FAH as a service on Win98 and Millenium so I don't have to worry about them turning F@H off.

Also, they know I'm putting this on their machines, so it's not like I'm trying to sneak it on them.

haha i'm sure that if you call it a "service" they're likely to think it'll improve their computer thus almost guaranteeing their acceptance of it.

that's awesome. it's all about covert F@H opperations. well, i guess it was more overt in this case...

I just got cox internet myself last week ...I did a self install!!! go me go me!
ok so the first 3 days it only went down 3 times so I called them ...they came over and said that the trunk lines were fine ...make a long story short and hour later the tech figured out it was the incoming line that was installed 2 years ago ...that tech used indoor connectors outdoors!!! also had to replace a few yards of cable but they didnt charge so it turned out ok.
I can finally play et with a halfway decent ping and dont have to worry about diaup to send and receive wu's anymore!

ok yeah congrats on the new box! :fold:

Sweet.

Umm I think for 98 and ME you can use the scheduled task manager or something.
