I was at the gym this afternoon (cue bikerboy) while the games were on today. When it became clear that both teams would survive the day and remain undefeated going into next week, the atmosphere became absolutely electric.

With the possible exception of the 1973 game, I don't think this rivalry has seen a bigger game that I can remember.

Hell yeah I am excited! These two teams are literally on a whole different level than any of the other college teams....

I am going to be at this game, flying all the way from Texas

Go buckeyes

I watched the slaughter of the game against Northwestern. I know that Michigan will pose a bit more of a challenge, but I can't wait to see the Buckeyes triumph again this Saturday so I can give a big "in your face, d00ds" to our Michiganite brethren here on Short-Media.

northwestern is not a very good team, they are so bad, their own students don't even go to their games.

I know Northwestern is not a good team, that's why I was able to say "Michigan will pose a bit more of a challenge" ;)

if you look at the team stats, they are almost identical in every category, so i dont think michigan is just going to pose a bit more threat, more like this game can be won by any one of these two teams.

If that wasn't the case then I don't think we'd be viewing it as such a big game. :)

I, for one, sure hope it's not won by any team other than one of these two!

No true OSU fan would even mention that school up north... I am definitely a Cincinnati fan above all others, but lacking that I am definitely rooting for Ohio State... Now I'm off to eat my Skyline chili that they just started stocking down here in the frozen food section!! w000t!!!

GO BUCKS!!!

No othe time in history has OSU and Michigan every met as #1 and #2 and never with so much riding on the game. No other game has been as big as this one.

I love the commercials that I have seen on ESPN this week about the rivalry b/n the two teams and their fans. The one with the blind date couple. Its funny because there is so much damn truth behind it.

I just caught word that Bo Schembechler has died suddenly of a (presumed) heart attack while taping a show today related to tomorrow's game.

I hated his guts while he coached at the school up north, but also had a great deal of respect for him both as a coach and a person. If this inspires his old team to play a little harder tomorrow afternoon I think that Bo would be happy about that.

I have to say that was a well-fought game. Both teams deserved to win, with the way they played.

Well I am reporting back after one long and crazy weekend.

I went to Columbus for the weekend for the game and it was pretty intense.

Overall I would say it was a great game. I am glad it was close, even though I think if Ohio wouldn't of made some mistakes they would of had a bigger margin of victory.

I hope Ohio plays the winner of the USC vs ND for the national championship but who knows, there is a chance Mich might get a rematch... even though I think that is stupid.

After the weekend I can say Columbus is HUGE, way too big for me. Some how the stadium holds over 105,000 fans and still isn't as loud as the stadium at Texas A&M which holds about 86,000 people. The other thing that annoyed the piss out of me was the stupid "O-H-" "I-O-" thing. As you walk about the city people point at you and yell "O-H-" and you are expected to yell back "I-O-". At first I was just like "ok whatever", but as the day goes on and you have said "I-O" about 500 f'in times it gets old quick.

It was a great trip though, I might try and post some pics later.

I would love to see Ohio play USC or ND in the national championship.

cheers :D

Ok, back with a few pics!

The first pic is my best friend and I standing by an inflatable Brutus (I am on the right). We bought those shirts from some vendor on the side of the street for 8 bucks :D

The second picture I took by the College Game Day area. I thought that sign was pretty funny...

The last pic is everyone rushing the field after the win.

If you have me on facebook I have a couple more pictures in an album I made.

cheers

Clutch, if I can get a pair of tickets for a game next year I'll let you know. You could hang out here and we could make the easy drive down for the day of the game. I have a couple of cousins on the faculty there, so there's a good chance I could come up with something. One of them even got my old man a pair of tickets for the BCS Championship game. :D

(No, the other one is not for me. :( )

Oh prof I would love you forever. On the way to the 04 Lan I stopped in Ohio at a rest center there, my first time going to Ohio. I had to get a picture taken in front of it, we didn't have enough time to go anywhere else, and I would have gotten lost anyway, haha.
