Alright, guys. I'm looking for an automobile GPS unit. It's not going to get a huge amount of use. In fact, it's probably what I'm going to ask for for Christmas. I'd like it to be under $500.

I've read a couple reviews and it seems what I want is NAVTEQ and SiRFstarIII at least. I haven't fully educated myself in the ways of GPS navigational devices.

It'll be used for general travel. I don't care about any extras. Hands-free cell phone? Nah. Cooks me breakfast? No thanks. I just want a straight-forward, easy to navigate smart GPS. Something that's really awesome at being a navigational GPS unit and not much else.

I'm just wondering if you guys have any recommendations or reviews. Thanks!
