Nokia question.

Hi all,
I have ordered a Nokia 5500 for my son. I know he'll want to put it on another network but after looking at several sites that offer unlock codes it seems it CAN'T be unlocked! I also read that I have a right to have it unlocked and the company have to give you the code but they usually charge around £35.
Anybody know of any way?

That was one of the sites I have looked at but they want paying before anything else, like, before they confirm it can be done. All other sites seem to say the 5500 may be able to be unlocked soon.

Sorry - didn't look at the nokia no - I just remembered my daughter having used them before.
