"I first came across Easy CD Creator back when it was an Adaptec product, before the company spun off the software division and called it Roxio. Even then, in its early incarnations, it was simple to use, offering an easy way to create data CDs and packet written CD-RW discs using the Direct CD part of the package."

"In the majority of the benchmarks, the 655FX performs on par with the 875P. In MPEG2 encoding the 655FX completes an episode of the Simpsons a minute faster. This is most likely due to the 655FX’s MuTIOL 1G interconnect as MPEG2 encoding requires constant access between the hard drive and processor."

"The FX5700 Ultra has a significant 600 point lead over the FX5600 Ultra thanks to higher core/mem clocks and DDR-II. What I find most significant here are the drastically improved shader performance numbers. Poor shader performance has been the center of some discussion with previous generation FX products, however it appears that NVIDIA's next generation shader (CineFx 2.0) gives their cards the much needed boost."

"The XP I 4 Channel Controller includes a built-in fan fail alarm warning system that is disabled by default. Next to each 3-pin fan header is a closed jumper pin, by moving the small black cap over one jumper pin enables the alarm function. The alarm function exists in two modes both visual and audible. The visual portion is handled by a series of high intensity dual LEDS (blue and red) and the audible by a small embedded speaker."

"I was fairly disappointed with this product. There are too many issues with the unit such as the stereo connector, the writing on the faceplate, the loss of the case HDD activity LED and the lack of any real options leave me craving a better display."
