I didn't see this covered too indepth in the RAID guide, so I figured I would ask. It also hasn't been updated in some time. :nudge:
Anyway, I have 3 WD Caviars all 250 each. Ive had one which is now filled up with data and the other two I just got. I know a drive has to be reformatted for RAID 0 so I planned on starting the RAID 0 with the two newbies, copy all the files I want to keep over to the RAID 0 from the older drive, then throw the older drive into the array. Would it sync up the drive and span out everything automatically? Its the raid controller that comes on the NV4 chipset.
And before anyone says anything about using an older drive, its only two months old. >>
