Hi folks - I have a desktop that hangs on when resuming from standby. I suspect this is related to an add-on PCI IDE controller card that I recently installed to support a larger HD (onboard IDE controller did not support HD >137GB). But all drivers, patches, etc are up to date. Windows KB doesnt seem to help (as far as I can tell).
Basics:
- Sony Vaio PCV-LX900 Desktop with latest BIOS (per Sony support site)
- Windows XP Pro SP2
- ITE8212 IDE/RAID PCI controller card installed connected to an internal 250GB drive (system boots from this drive just fine in a normal bootup)
- IDE controller onboard motherboard. Primary channel not connected to anything, secondary channel connected to internal CD-RW.
Any ideas? Would really like to be able to sleep and wake the PC. Doesnt seem to be too much to ask for. Windows!!!
