The latest woot-off is on. They'll offer things, usually cheaper than anywhere else. You buy 1-3 of them. Eventually they sell out, and the next thing comes up. Now, why should you care? Eventually they'll get to a Bag O' Crap ($1) - which could be, well, crap (not literal crap), or it could be awesome (people have claimed to get a Wii/HDTV/etc). Have fun, and don't get into too much trouble with the missus.

woot.com is great. Picked up a few snazzy things in my day, like a 1GB flash drive for $30 when they were $100 still.
i got a pretty cheap 8inch portable dvd player for the trip me and my brother will be taking to arkansas to the diamon mine park.

Looks like a DLP projector, which I would love to buy if I had an extra couple hundred smacks laying around.
So did I just miss it or what?
The woot-off is still running, but they don't put up a new item 'til one sells out, and this projector is taking several hours to sell... :P

Well, you could always pause your downloads for a day. I know it's tough to wait an extra day for your bible music...
How's this work then, I am lost. Is the wootoff a bag of crap? or what?
The woot site usually offers a different deal every day. If it sells out, it's gone, and you wait until tomorrow for another deal.
Durring a woot-off event (indicated by the flashing lights) a new deal goes up as soon as one sells out, so the more stuff sells, the more deals get offered.
Some of the best (and most obscure) deals occur during woot-offs.
One of the things that comes up (only during woot-off) is bag-of-crap, which is essentially how they get rid of all of the stuff that they only have a few of, so can't rweally make a whole woot out of it... You order it, and get a random exrta item. could be cool, but it's proly crap.

Got my fiance a great b/g PCMCIA card for $19.99 the other day for her lappy. The built in card was terrible, think it was on the way out.
I tried to find a beefier internal card, but they were $70+!! This $19.99 card can see wireless access points halfway across our housing complex....

Those projectors are great for gaming. We used to play GoldenEye back in the day with four players projected onto a huge screen. It is awesome.

I just got the last VCR/DVD recorder ;) I've been wanting one of these, and I needed a DVD player to boot. Just never wanted to buy a VCR

You guys have some strange Liquor laws, went into a bar in Cocoa beach, FLA a few years ago ordered a bourbon, no sir this is a beer and wine only establishment WTF. In the UK you are licensed to sell or not licensed to sell, no half measures so to speak. back OT hope the guys are still having a good woot :)
In Ohio, when a grocery store want to be able to sell liquor on Sundays, the township has to vote on it...
