Microsoft backing AMD?

I was just watching Comedy Central and the microsoft 'Wow' commercial played. I was actually not very amused by the commercial, but I noticed at the end when they played the MS logo, down in the right corner sat the AMD logo with some text I couldn't make out in time.

Is MS backing AMD?

Why wouldn't they? AMD has about 25% of the CPU market... it is in their best interest to push both AMD and Intel.

If the AMD logo was small and in the corner, might it be that AMD was paying for marketing, wanting their name to be associated with Microsoft? End goal being name recognition? I don't know, just wondering.

Could be both ways, if MS is not associating with AMD... then if I were AMD I would pay to have my logo on some of their commercials. People will see a MS commercial, and then an AMD logo. OH WOW MY NEXT PC WILL BE WITH AMD!
