Linksys USB adapter Wi-Fi Issue

Hello there!
I have a linksys usb adapter,a desktop PC,a laptop and a nintendo DS!
My Desktop PC is connected to the internet.I want to use my Linksys USB adapter on my desktop PC to give internet connection via wireless to both the Laptop and the Nintendo DS.Both my Laptop and my DS have a built-in wireless module.I know that the USB adapter is of course not an Access Point.But i want to make at least an infrastructure connection.Any help how to do it?Or how to make my USB adapter work as an AP of some kind?
Though i manage to share my connection with the Laptop(both ad-hoc and infrastructure),the DS doesn't have any succesful connection status even i tried every possible configurations.Any ideas how to fix this or any suggestions on how to make it work at least under infrastructure mode?

Vandalous, to be honest, what you're proposing is so much more complicated and unreliable than just guying a wireless router. Last I knew a Linksys WRT54G was $49 US at Best Buy. You'll have DHCP and NAT all in a box that is dedicated to just doing that. That would also have the advantage of putting NAT between your desktop and the Internet. And you'll spend far less time putting it all together.

Exactly! And I think there was a thread recently very similar to this one where someone wanted to set up ICS using an USB NIC. I think s/he found it couldn't be done (the USB NIC doesn't have the capability).
