Unable to share printer

Can you please offer some advice about what might be required in addition to the basic setup steps so that HP printer [Deskjet 4770] can be shared within a wireless [Linksys] network? Both computers operate with XP. All the suggested steps have been implemented however the secondary computer does not recognize the printer when browsed for. Printer drivers are updated. There seems to be no issue with firewall. AVG anti-virus program on both.

Old HP's required drivers for the printer on each machine sharing it and the network enabled--Windows did not have HP printer drivers in it, it needed drivers from HP. That might be so for some or many HP products today even. Make sure the printer is shared on the machine it is hooked to also. Sharing with us what you have tried and what happened when you tried it would help to diagnose also. Feel free to post if you do not understand this in part or whole and we will try to help more.
