Need Help Removing Trojan horse Downloader.Agent.IQT

It shows up first as a random.t$m file, the tries to execute itself as upt.exe
then AVG blocks it and i get the annoying message every 2 minutes.

Hi sovinoob. I would like to see an uninstall list from HijackThis.

Run Hijackthis.
Click on Open the Misc Tools section.
Next click on Open uninstall manager.
Press the Save list button. It will open a Notepad file.
Save the file to your desktop, with the default name of uninstall_list
Copy & Paste the entire contents of that file in your in your next post.

OK sovinoob. Please run Hijack This again and put a check (tick) next to the following:

Close all other browsers/windows and click Fix Checked. Close Hijack This.

Make sure that you can see hidden files and folders:

Click "Start".
Click "My Computer".
Select the "Tools" menu and click "Folder Options".
Select the "View" tab.
Under the "Hidden files and folders" heading, select "Show hidden files and folders".
Uncheck the "Hide protected operating system files (recommended)" option.
Click "Yes" to confirm.
Uncheck the "Hide file extensions for known file types".
Click "OK".

Reboot the PC into safe mode according to the instructions below:

If the computer is running, shut down Windows, and then turn off the power.
Wait 30 seconds, and then turn the computer on.
Start tapping the F8 key. The Windows Advanced Options Menu appears. If you begin tapping the F8 key too soon, some computers display a "keyboard error" message. To resolve this, restart the computer and try again.
Ensure that the Safe Mode option is selected.
Press Enter. The computer then begins to start in Safe mode.
Login on your usual account.


Use Windows Explorer to find and delete the following. Don't worry if they don't exist:

C:\Program Files\Common Files\{D4D532EA-0A64-1033-0721-030718030001}<---This folder.

Use the Windows search feature to search for this file:

Bar888.dll

Once you find it please delete the folder it resides in. It will be a folder located here:

C:\Program Files\Common Files

Do not delete the Common Files folder, just the folder that resides there. Note that it won't have a name but a CLSID that begins with these characters:

Reboot the PC into normal mode then run a Panda Active Scan from my signature below:

Panda Scan Instructions:

- Once you are on the Panda site, click the Scan your PC button
- A new window will open...click the Check Now button
- Enter your Country
- Enter your State/Province
- Enter your e-mail address and click send
- Select either Home User or Company
- Click the big Scan Now button
- If it wants to install an ActiveX component allow it
- It will start downloading the files it requires for the scan (Note: It may take a couple of minutes)
- When download is complete, click on Local Disks to start the scan
- When the scan completes save the report to your desktop so you can find it easily.

Post back with the Panda log and a fresh Hijack This log.
