my lap top came with a recovery partition (as most do) and i messed up and formated the partition (o well, the computer is backed up anyways)

but now i have a 12 gb partition that im doing nothing with, i went into the computer managment/disc management, and just clicked delete on that partition, but it never added the space back to my C drive........

and it shows up in disc management as "unallocated" instead of the old "hp recovery drive"

how can i get this space back to the main C

(lol im talking like its 2 different drives or something, i know its just a partition and its actually one hard-drive:D )

If you upgrade the Hard Drive to a Dynamic Drive, you can then add the unallocated space to the C: partition, however you should google about the repercussions of having your OS on a Dynamic drive, there can be a few issues, but I have done it in the past.

EDIT: I did a little googling myself:
