View Full Version : Vista is probably slower at folding than XP

It's not gonna be much, but there's definitely got to be some sort of impact from this. I've been tracking it for a couple of days, but here's what I've found.

The search indexing tool runs full bore for a few minutes every couple of hours... While it is doing so, it uses up one core completely while indexing the drive. Sure, you can turn off the indexing, but it's a nice feature.

The indexing hit goes away after while, on my semi-fresh install laptop, it ceased killing cycles after a week. (only ~20GB to index at low priority)
