Is it possible. I would love to have it displayed on a swedish forum. i'm in. I don't want it to be just a picture but also to update itself. :fold:

If they allow javascript, you could use the old system (I haven't taken it down). If not, I'm afraid you're out of luck at the moment :-/ I may make an updating-image version at some point, but that's something I'm not ready to tackle just now.

The forum runs bb, that's all i can tell you. Can't find anything about java. Lets say it does use it, how do find the old system again. And how do i create it, just cut and paste.

Yeah, go here: http://www.teamshort-media.com/stats/generator/

Copy/paste the code it gives you into your sig on that forum and see if it works :)

Crap the code is too long, the forum only allows for 450 letters. What do i do. Tried the textonly version as well but no luck.

If they have a limit on size they probably have javascript disabled anyway. We've been exceedingly liberal on signature standards here. There's nothing to do beyond that anyway, sorry :-/

It is extremely unlikely that most forum sites will allow javascript in their signatures, as it presents quite a big security risk. :(

Could you use the sig images from Extreme Overclocking (http://folding.extremeoverclocking.com/?nav=IMAGES)?

The link only works in a new window. Do i need img tags.

Edit

No that didn't work. Help. I get the link to show, and when i press it a new page pops up with my sig image, but how do i make the sig image appear in the sig

It works in IMG tags for me.

You can put the link from that page in [IMG] tags and it will be treated as a graphic, even though it doesn't have a .jpg extension or anything like that.

Tried both img and IMG but nothing works. :(

I'll try the code here too.

Edit ok then what doesn't work. Is there some forum function that isn't activated. BTW the forum runs on phbb 2.0 if that helps.

Tried both the alternate method as well as method one and 2. Method 2 uses the same code as my previous post here and that works just fine. But only here.

If this can't be resolved by the morning i'll either skip the whole thing or consider dynasig unless someone can come up with an answer.

I'm surprised the [IMG] tag didn't work, bummer.

Have you posted this question on the Swedish forum too? There might be someone there that's more familiar with how their forum is set up and what features they have turned on.

No i haven't. What function could that be?

The [ img ] tag is a custom tag for vBulletin. I'm not sure if it/how it works on boards with other systems. Just ask them how to put an image in your signature :) That's all it is for the EOC sigs, really.

They have img tags as well here's how that looks.

As i said, i used the exact same code here and that worked without trouble.

*shrug* I dunno, I can't diagnose their board. You'll have to ask them about it, sorry :-/

Question asked. Hope they don't consider those kinds of sigs to be ads. I got into trouble when i used an ubinator animation there. But this is different.

I'm planning an intro about folding as soon as i get the sig going. Could mean new member for this team. :fold:

Cool! Good luck.

It works now. Here's the code the admin told me to enter.

<br><img src="http://folding.extremeoverclocking.com/sigs/sigimage.php?un=EyesOnly&t=93">

Ignore the php tags. Had to add them so this forum would show the code and not the sig. The only different i can see lies in the beginning. I also asked what the problem was. Waiting for answer.

Can someone tell me what the differens was. I can only spot the img src in the beginning. What does that do?
