Middle of the week and all is peaceful. Lets see what the web has for us...
If you're a serious gamer any extra edge in performance and ease of game play is greatly welcome. Today we look at a product
that claims to add greater accuracy and precision when using a mouse; the Icemat mousing surface.icemat @ TechTastic.ca
If you're new to Jedi Academy multiplayer you may not be aware that the Jedi Academy gaming community has come up with
certain rules of conduct when you're playing on a server.Jedi Academy Multiplayer Etiquette @ TechTastic
This ATX powmax PSU tester displays the condition of your power supply. Simply plug the tester into your power supply's 20 pin motherboard connector and the built in LEDs will give a basic diagnostic of your power supply. If all of the green LED's light up, then the power is OK.Powmax Power Supply Tester @ 3dXtreme
GruntvillE is having yet another DPG; this one should strike the interest of every modder and OC’r out there. We’ve all been there, we just installed the nice dual cathode set or got the perfect chip that begs for more and then the reboot. Your PSU is huffin and puffin but just can’t blow enough power for what you need. DawG PounD Fall Giveaway @ GruntvillE
peltiers aren't for everybody. Their cost and level of involvement are geared more towards an extreme hobbyist than an end user looking to get 5 more frames per second running Unreal Tournament 2003. However, for someone geeky enough wishing to seriously cool a CPU, peltiers are the most effective method short of liquid nitrogen immersionPelts for the People: WHAT'S BEYOND WATER COOLING? @ TheModFathers
Still driving your mouse around on an old rubber mousemat or a few sheets of paper on top of your desk? That is SO twentieth-century ;-) What you need is a professional-quality mousing surface, perhaps along the lines of one of Steelpad's range of products. Today RipNet-UK bring you a review of one of their latest, the Steelpad 4D.Steelpad 4D review @ RipNet-UK
A slick mouse pad can improve gaming performance. Last week we looked at the Steelpad 4D, a gamer mouse pad made out of plastic. What about making a mouse pad made out of glass? Talk about the ultimate slick surface that feels cool to the touch. The ICEMAT is just that, a mouse pad made out of smooth glass. ICEMAT Gaming Mouse Pad @ A True Review
Definite improvement to be seen here when compared to the old style radiators and a very impressive full load that tops out at only 12C above room temperature with the Evercool fan at full speed. The new design radiators would both seem to handle load temperatures with a low speed fan more efficiently as well, which for those wanting to get a quiet system will be good news.Wet and Chilly Chips Water Cooling System Rev2 @ Viper Lair
AMD Athlon 64 has taken most of the spotlight over the past month but we shouldn't forget about Intel Pentium 4. One such motherboard to support it is ABIT's IC7 MAX3, which takes the Canterwood chipset to the MAX.ABIT IC7 MAX3 – Taking Canterwood to the MAX @ Tweaktown
We have had our fair share of Spire products tested here at Modsynergy.com. Each time, Spire has performed great and without any problems. My stance is that Spire is the best company offering heatsink/fan combinations that perform very well, are a step from the stock AMD coolers and Spire coolers don’t hurt your budget. I believe they are the best value-to-performance ratio leader to date. Spire recently announced the release of their new cooler that improves on the successful predecessor, the Spire FalconRock IISpire WhisperRock IV Review @ Modsynergy
The CNPS7000A-Cu HSF Cooler builds upon the design characteristics of the previous CNPS6500A-Cu model featuring the famous Zalman flower design. In the past, where Zalman extended the flower design from left to right, the new CNPS7000A-Cu HSF Cooler uses 65 3mm copper fins around the diameter of the 92mm ball bearing fan creating a larger heat dissipation area of 3170cm². The CNPS7000A-Cu HSF Cooler measures 109mm (L) x 109mm (W) x 62mm (H) and weighs in at a whopping 773g.Zalman CNPS7000A-Cu HSF Cooler Review @ MODTHEBOX
The overall features are impressive, from the contents included in the kit as well as the performance specifications. There are three fan controller channels, each capable of supporting up to 18 watts each (1.5 amps at full voltage adjustment of 12V). This is quite amazing actually… 18 watts is a lot of power, for that can be utilized for fans or even different accessories; the included universal power cables make it easy to use these outputs for something other than fansVantec Nexus NXP-301 Fan & Light Controller @ MHW
