View Full Version : Couldn't connect to server?

Hi chums,
I checked my folding yesterday and found it wasn't doing anything. The log says it couldn't connect. I deleted everything in the work folder and restarted the PC assuming it would just start up again, I've done that before with broken WUs. I checked again this morning and it still can't connect.Hee is a short extract from the log, it is repeated like this for 24 hours. Any ideas? Thanks.

You could try the old restarting the client trick, but many servers are down or heavily loaded at the moment. Got three wu's in the queue at the moment.

4/13/2007Network problems at Stanford
We are experiencing problems with the Stanford network. Everything is working, just very slowly, causing retries in the client. Stanford IT is looking into this.

The above from the news page -
however forum posts indicate that there is still an ongoing problem.

Just noticed the wininet message have you downgraded to IE7, if so run the
-config flag and check use iesettings is set to no.
