Hello I have a 32-bit toshiba laptop with vista and im noticing it doesn't handle my games as well as I'd like it to. My friend this is because my computer is running on 32-bit archticture and vista is designed to work on 64-bit artchitecture.

My brother has an HP-something or other with 64-bit archtitecture that he bought a few years ago with XP that im willing to bet can handle games better than mine. But maybe it's just the OS?

Any thoughts are appreciated! Thanks in advance!

You were misinformed. Vista runs even worse as a 64bit OS than it does as a 32 bit OS.

The reason XP (32bit or 64, though 32 is much better) handles games better than Vista is because, currently, Vista has very immature driver and software support. It's a bad gaming platform at this time.

QFT (quoted for truth) as I am now finding out with Vista Premium on my new laptop I just got. Some games will play and some won't, so far.
