Or more to the point the match SM had between the USA and UK? Nevermind the score (cough) it was great fun. I wonder if we could arrange another match, differant game perhaps, CoD2 maybe?
Anybody fancy? any ideas?

A true classic compared to some of the garbage FPS games that have been released since.

Count me in. The game is so good I actually own a copy, CDs and all. :eek:

Why have you got to get rid?
I have/had the original UT, I think I uninstalled it a month or two back. Haven't played UT2K4 but I'm sure I could pick one up. CoD2 is my game of preferance at the moment (IE, since it came out) but will play anything the majority decides.
Gotta keep this ball rolling, should be good.

Managed to pick up UT 2k4 and as it was a bogof PES5 I'm up for CS:s as well do have COD2 and BF2 just not got around to playing them:confused:

Original UT was soooo much better than ut2k4.
Even the UT2K3 was better.
When they changed the game engine it really slowed down the movement of your player,game,etc.
I've got 2G of maps, mods, admin tools, etc. for the original UT.

UT didn't feel like as much of a challenge with one shot kills being so easy to get. The link gun was perfect in this game. Sniper was cheap as hell, but fun.

UT2k3 and 4 improved the FPS genre in general with the many different options for avoiding being hit. UT2k4 seemed like a vastly improved UT2k3 - basically ut2k3 with better code.

Yes, Your right. I got the diff vers mixed up. It's been a yr or so since I've played.
I know one of them had a bad game engine design which made your character feel like the Pillsbury dough boy when trying to move.
Still, The original played faster than any of the others.
As far as the sniper rifle or one shot kills, that can be eliminated from the server setup.
Just depends on your choice when setting it up.
