I googled this for a while but can't find anything specific to Gamecube controllers. One of my remaining two has a pretty worn-out joystick. Can anyone point me to a guide or something that can help me fix it?

Thanks

Worn-out parts can't be fixed, they must be replaced. There is no place to purchase replacements for worn-out parts for GC controlers, so you would have to fasion one yourself, which would not be fun or cheap...

GameStop sells good-quality used GC controlers for about $5.

just don't buy a gamestop brand controller, they suck big butt. make sure you stick with official gamecube stuff, if you cant find one, the next best thing is the Madcatz micro GCN controller.

I won't ever buy a Madcatz product after my N64 days... I'm getting a regular Nintendo controller.

I had 4x madcatz die on my N64 within 3 months of purchase. Awful, awful ****ing products. Never again.

Wavebird wireless controller = win. Got one used from a Gamestop... It was a bit dirty but it works perfectly and looks new after a little cleaning.
