Well, most overclockers change their major components too fast to get a good result for this poll... if i was still using my PC from 2 years ago I'd be running a P3 1000mhz oc'ed to 1.2ghz... aint exactly 'kick arse' ;)

Er........ is the poll in years?

But yeah, the general point is, people who overclock havily have a high component turnover rate anyway, so you cant really get a good idea of the true life of highly overclocked components.

To tell you the truth, I've never had the same processor for more than a year before giving or selling it to another person because of my upgrades.

My enermax has been running overclocked systems for 3yrs

hehe, mine was pushin' a year befor i got a new one.. but it was a duron, i had my 600 (or somthing along those lines) OC to 1.1 .. that lasted for a long time, a little less than 3 years .. moral of the story, get durons if u wanna OC ;)

Depends how well your cooling it and how many volts your passin g over the components. I never keep my gear long though.

My KX7-R is a great motherboard and still not out of date ,It can use a barton , I have mine running in bullet proof mode with 360gig s of hard drive 240gig raid zero and 120 gig back up using the excellent highpoint. I run a motherboard longer because once the bugs are out why jump ship for more speed than I need. One major thing people do not think of is large memory and fast disk will do more than a faster chip or bus speed. I run a full gig of memory in three slots , not the best idea ,but it works good at 174 bus. A lot of poor buggy boards out there0speed is no good unless you can use it every day.:D

Oh, yeah, that Duron 600 I had ran at 900MHz for over a year, and then at 800MHz for another year (due to a lower power PSU)
